What is BABE?

BABE is an incentive program for parents to participate in wellness programs for themselves and their children. Parents earn BABE coupons at 40+ providers in Whitley County, including doctors’ offices, libraries, classes, WIC appointments, and more.

BABE coupons are earned at 40+ providers in Columbia City and can be exchanged at the BABE store for items like diapers, wipes, clothing, etc, or saved up for larger items like strollers and car seats.

  • Any doctor’s visit from the moment you’re pregnant, you can ask for a BABE coupon
  • Any well-visit at the doctor after the baby is born
  • Reading to your children at the library (CC, Busco, and SW)
  • Attending a mom’s group
  • Getting your child’s immunizations
  • WIC appointments
  • Going to counseling sessions

No. BABE coupons do not expire.

Simply bring in a receipt from your appointment within two weeks of the date you were seen, and we will issue a BABE coupon to you for that visit.

You can “shop” with your earned coupons. You can attend special classes and events at BABE to earn more coupons. You can meet other parents while at BABE.

We are always adding new classes. Here is a sample of what’s available in a typical month:

BABE of Whitley County is a recognized 501(c)(3) and is funded by various foundations, grants, and generous people like you!.

  • Baby Bottle Campaign:
    • Business Example:
      • Employees of Business A are encouraged to take a baby bottle home to fill with lose change for the next month.
      • BABE will provide the baby bottles and the instruction labels to go with them, personalized for your employer.
      • Designate one person at the company to collect filled baby bottles from employees.
      • At the end of the designated time, the executive director can pick up all of the baby bottles or you can return them to the BABE store.
      • Some businesses will enter the name of each person who returns a filled baby bottle into a drawing for a gift card or the team with the most filled bottles will win a team lunch.
    • Church Example:
      • Offer baby bottles to anyone who would like to take one home to fill with lose change for the next month.
      • The executive director is available to come in to talk about the campaign to your congregation to kick off the baby bottle campaign
      • BABE will provide the baby bottles and the instruction labels to go with them, personalized for your church.
      • Designate one person at your church to collect filled baby bottles.
      • At the end of the designated time, the executive director can pick up all of the baby bottles or you can return them to the BABE store.
    • Diaper Drive:
      • BABE will provide a large box and signage to collect diapers for a designated amount of time at your business or church
      • Encourage your employees, patrons, or congregation to bring in packages of diapers and place in the box
