Like the families and children we serve, we’re growing!

It takes a village…

You know the saying. It takes a village to raise a child. For more than 20 years, BABE has happily been a part of that village to so many moms and dads in Whitley County. From pregnancy to kindergarten, BABE ensures that these children get the healthiest start in life.

But now… we’re calling on our village.

As many of you know, last summer, we were unexpectedly given only a few weeks to find a new location for BABE so we could continue serving Whitley County families. In the face of these challenges, our supporters and volunteers showed unwavering dedication to our mission. We are grateful for Columbia City United Methodist Church giving us a temporary space for BABE.

However, like the children and families we serve, we’re growing. We need to find a larger, more permanent home.

BABE has helped create a community and space where families, specifically mothers, can regularly connect with other families and attend wellness classes right at BABE. Since adding these resources, BABE has grown exponentially, and we’re serving more families than ever.

Please donate to help us reach our $175,000 goal for our new home.

The Community Foundation of Whitley County has graciously given us the first $50,000, showing us that they believe in BABE’s mission and the great things we’re doing for Whitley County families.

With your support, we are confident a new home will help us reach even more families and continue to be a place of shared resources and a community for the moms and dads who benefit from having a village around them to raise their kids.

“I have learned so much from attending classes at BABE. For a while, my doctor was worried about her weight, but now she’s in a healthier range”
